The 1500 Volt modus operandi

Belectric has proven the perks of going 1,500 V. The company in fact states that it is the first to deploy a 1,500 VDC modus operandi in the history of the PV industry. Belectric connected a 1,500 VDC plant to the grid in Germany. The Deutsche Kreditbank financed project utilized Padcon’s 1,500 V capable inverter station. The liquid-cooled outdoor central inverters were manufactured by Power Conversion, the Berlin-based division of GE Energy. Padcon and Power Conversion collaborated to integrate the inverters into the system.

PID KILLER has a new look

After four successful years in a battle against PID, PADCON is equipping its Float Controller with even more convenience and new functions.

The handling has now been redesigned to make it much more convenient based on many years of practical experience and constructive feedback from numerous customers. The PADCON Float Controller now gives you the opportunity to set voltage thresholds via DIP switches and thus to configure the units individually on site for any inverter. The "Time delay" function is available immediately for perfectly synchronised multi MPPT operation and the newly integrated reverse polarity protection enables PADCON to add more inverter manufacturers to its compatibility list.

PADCON achieves first 161kV high voltage supply

Kitzingen: With the monitoring and control of the largest PV power plant in Israel to date, PADCON achieves the next milestone and thus reaffirms its pioneering role among SCADA system providers on the Israeli market.

After intensive discussions with the Israeli Electrical Company (IECo) and joint development of standards for the control of PV power plants at 161kV high voltage level in Israel, PADCON has developed a park control with many different possibilities.

With the commissioning of the power plant, in addition to classic power reduction, PADCON allows energy supplier IECo to choose between three different control modes (performance factor control, voltage control & idle power control).

This UK Solar Farm in located in Wadebridge, Cornwall. BELECTRIC designed, built and commissioned the Wadebridge Solar Farm on schedule and in time to qualify for the March 2013 ROC subsidy deadline. We optimised the system setup with SMA inverters to ensure the best possible system performance, with an average performance of 87.5%. We also installed a harmonious Padcon monitoring system allowing both us and the customer to view the system’s output and performance remotely.
